At The Gables Senior Living, creating meaningful moments for residents is a top priority. One recent event that perfectly captured this mission was our adorable and uplifting gathering called “Smooches with Pooches.”
The event brought together residents, staff, visiting families, and members of the community for a day filled with wagging tails, laughter, and plenty of puppy love. Friendly dogs were invited to visit the residents, offering companionship, cuddles, and lots of smiles. From the moment the dogs arrived, excitement filled the room as residents eagerly welcomed their four-legged guests. Residents were also invited to bring their own live-in pets. There was so much pride in their eyes as they showcased their dogs to their friends and family.

As the event wrapped up, residents said goodbye to their furry friends with hugs, pats, and a few final “smooches.” It was clear that the day had made a lasting impression.
