Mike is very passionate about ensuring the highest quality of care at The Gables and helping to provide residents the best quality of life possible. He says, “There is nothing more rewarding in this life than knowing the residents in The Gables are taken care of the way I would want to be taken care of, and being able to do so in such a beautiful and comfortable environment.”

When Tierra isn't working you can find her at home hanging out with her dogs or out and about with her friends - and she will always jump at the opportunity to visit her family back home. Since moving to Idaho, Tierra has found a new appreciation for hiking, fishing, hunting, and kayaking.

Casie is passionate about providing great care and making sure that her residents are getting the love and care they deserve. Casie considers all those involved with The Gables family. She sincerely loves and appreciates her residents and their families, her amazing team of caregivers, and the community volunteers that are all involved in her building. Casie enjoys her
time with the residents and the many things she learns from them. She shares that, “Each and every one of my residents have a special place in my heart. Every other job that I’ve ever had has felt like just that. A job. Working at The Gables feels like an opportunity to serve others daily.”

Desi’s leadership journey began early, with management roles starting at the age of 16. Throughout her career, she has worn many hats and thrives on challenges, problem-solving, and helping teams develop thoughtful, effective solutions. She is a licensed Residential Care Administrator in the state of Idaho and has completed extensive training in dementia care.
She has a deep passion for working with individuals living with dementia and is especially skilled in developing communication plans, also known as behavior management plans. Desi enjoys educating others and sharing her knowledge with caregivers, nurses, administrators, families, and residents to improve quality of life and strengthen care outcomes.
Beyond her work at The Gables, Desi has a long history of community involvement. She helped start the EISF Sugar Art Show, participates in the Kiwanis Club of Shelley, contributes to the Idaho Spud Day Committee, and stays engaged with local Chambers of Commerce.
When reflecting on her many accomplishments, Desi shares that serving aging communities is among her greatest joys. She loves working alongside care teams and families to ensure residents receive compassionate, dignified, and person-centered care.

Quinn shares, “I want to express how much The Gables means to me and my family. About 7 years ago I suffered a neck injury that left me unable to work full-time. This was a very difficult, life changing experience for me as I am one who likes to stay busy working. Maintenance is something that I have always loved to do. Two years ago, Gables gave me an opportunity to go back to work. They allowed me to work a few hours a week to start, until I was able to work more hours. Working for The Gables is not just a job. It is much more to me. It’s an opportunity to serve our residents. Some of them even have me on speed dial! I feel that between our residents, their families, and all The Gables’ staff, we are a family. It is a blessing to work for The Gables.”

Her diversified career has taken CheriDawn through 25+ years in Administration, Marketing, and Human Resources. She feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in many different countries, but maintains that she likes it right here the best! She has worked hard at building strong relationships by listening and actually caring what people involved have to say. This level of work ethic and character has allowed her to be successful in various professions throughout life.
Most recently venturing into the Healthcare industry, she began working with Home Health and Hospice and Assisted Living Retirement Communities, including working with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease patients. To contribute to a resident’s sense of security and their health and happiness is, as she puts it, “the greatest possible reward for as an Administrator.” CheriDawn believes that honesty, integrity, and “doing the right thing” are key for life in general. Personally, she enjoys cultivating a business and mentoring open-minded employees, believing that employees who are well-trained build confidence throughout the facility, leading to a happier environment overall.

She was blessed to be able to stay at home and raise their 3 children up until the time they were all in school. She was able to get back into the nursing profession doing Hospice on a part-time basis for about 5 years. During this time, she spent many hours in the Gables facilities taking care of patients that resided in these facilities. This is when she developed a love for the Gables because of the loving atmosphere felt upon entering the doors.
She then went to work as a back-office nurse for a General/Bariatric Surgeon for about 3 years. At that time, her in-laws moved in with them, so she quit her full-time job to stay home and assist them. During those 4 ½ years, she worked part-time as a facility nurse for some Assisted Living Facilities in the valley, which later included both Gables’ facilities in Blackfoot and Pocatello.
At the end of July 2019, she was asked to take over The Blackfoot II facility as the Administrator. she says, she has people ask her all the time if she misses “nursing”. However, she feels she has the best of both worlds. She has always loved doing office work, so now has the opportunity to be in the office as well as still being involved in each Resident’s healthcare decisions.
She absolutely loves each and every Resident and the joy and happiness they bring to her. She loves being able to show them love and compassion and to comfort them when they are having a bad day. She says she is truly blessed to be part of the Gables family, and most importantly the life lessons she learns each and every day from Residents.

She took a small break to have her first daughter in 2018. In 2020 she found herself back at The Gables of Idaho Falls as a caregiver/med tech. Shortly after returning, she became a coordinator – then the Assistant Administrator – and in 2021 she took over as the community Administrator.
Jen has always had a passion for caring for others – she loves how rewarding it is to be able to help people from all different walks of life. She absolutely loves the number of people she has the privilege to meet – this includes residents, family members, and staff.
Jen is very competitive and enjoys playing sports. She looks forward to playing volleyball frequently with friends and on competitive leagues. She enjoys spending time with her three little girls and husband. She grew up doing wedding cakes with her mom and still loves to bake! She enjoys gardening and just being outside.

Joyce was raised in Arbon Valley and American Falls – she is a mother of four grown children and has eight grandchildren! Joyce also has two furry friends, her Pomeranians – Ernie and Missy.
She loves surrounding herself with people – having conversations with them, deep thinking, and creating solutions to problems. Joyce also has a profound love and appreciation for music – as she says, “music speaks to the soul”. She is the Worship Leader of Music at her church and can also be found singing with the American Falls Sharps Community Choir. But her hobbies don’t stop at music! Joyce has spent time at the local theatre as an actress and as the Director of Costume Design – she is an avid volunteer with the American Falls Rotary and the Philanthropic Education Organization. And to top it off, her love of baseball lead her to become a little league baseball coach (she has since hung up her baseball hat)! During the summer months she is a 4-H leader – teaching dog obedience and showmanship, which she has over 15 years of experience in. Joyce enjoys helping others, having a good laugh, a passion for great food, traveling, and being a country farm girl.
Joyce joined The Gables family in 2022 and takes great pride in her work and being a person of her word.

Her passion for caring for those with memory impairment originates from her own personal experiences. Kayla feels that each of her residents quickly becomes an extended part of her family. She enjoys hearing stories about their lives – from their accomplishments, experiences, hard times, and their families. Hearing all their knowledge and wisdom will never get old!
When Kayla is not at The Gables you can most likely find her outdoors with her family! They enjoy camping, riding horses, hunting, seeing new places on their snowmobiles and their side by sides. They are also very much into participating in rodeos!

Hagin attended the University of Montana Western before completing training in esthetics and medical aesthetics in Montana and Arizona. Her first experience in assisted living came at Discovery Care in Salmon, where she received her Assistance with Medications certification through Idaho State University and worked as a Med Tech and later as a Nurse Assistant. It was there that she discovered how much she loved caring for older adults and building relationships with the residents, many of whom she still remembers fondly. Her career later led her into business management, where she spent more than seven years in accounting and office operations, including five years managing the Pocatello location of a local towing company. That experience strengthened her skills in leadership, communication, and problem solving.
Caring for older adults has remained close to Hagin’s heart throughout her life. While in college, she regularly volunteered at an assisted living community, and she has had the privilege of caring for both her great grandfather near the end of his life and her great grandmother after she moved to Shelley to be closer to family. These experiences ultimately led Hagin back to senior care and a career where she could find purpose in caring for others.
As Administrator, Hagin looks forward to building meaningful relationships with residents, families, staff, and the Shelley community. She wants The Gables to be a place where residents feel at home and valued; families feel confident their loved ones are genuinely cared for, and staff feel seen, heard, respected, and appreciated.
Outside of The Gables, Hagin loves spending time with her husband, Coltyn, their two dogs, Remi and Dizzy, and her horse, Buddy. She enjoys traveling, camping, rodeos, concerts, riding motorcycles, reading, and just about anything involving animals. Those who know her from Challis may know her better as “Blu,” the nickname her dad gave her growing up.
Hagin is grateful for the opportunity to bring her leadership experience and love of caring for others together at The Gables and looks forward to making it a place where residents, families, and staff truly feel at home.
I went to Teton High School and following graduation, I then pursued a college degree at BYU-Idaho. There I met my husband (a Blackfoot native) and graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies. While obtaining that degree, I dove into the world of healthcare and worked in different nursing homes. This is where I found my true passion and found some of my best friends to be the elderly residents under my care.
In early 2021 we welcomed our first daughter and then moved to Northern Minnesota where my husband worked for Polaris for two years. There we explored Canada, enjoyed riding Polaris vehicles, fishing in some of the greatest lakes, and welcomed our second daughter. In 2024 we moved back to Idaho to be closer to family and to let my husband start a small automotive repair shop. We have loved being back in the area and raising our children where we have so many fun memories.
I am an old soul at heart and find joy in living a simple life. My family loves to go camping, visit historical sites and national parks, watch old musicals, and going on road trips. Laura Ingalls Wilder is my childhood role model, John Denver is my favorite singer, and The Sound of Music is my favorite movie. If I am not at work, you can find me making homemade meals, playing with my children, riding our four-wheelers in the mountains, or hitting up antique stores!
